Motor Mounts? To Upgrade Or Not?

I will be pulling my stock LS3 for forging in the following weeks and considering replacing my stock motor mounts with one of the three following options.

- Stock SS Motor mounts
- Stock ZL1 Motor mount
- BMR motor mounts

Would like to hear what everyone is using as well as your thoughts on the matter.

I'm about to pull my SS mounts in favor of a set ZL1 mounts stiffer then SS without the NVH of a solid mount.

I have BMR poly engine mounts. Have had them on for a while now. I wish I would have gotten the solid mount inserts instead of the poly. I can always upgrade the inserts in the future though.

I have the torque solution solid mounts... they are awesome. Tightened everything up nicely.

And additional noise or vibration from the mounts?

Yes, the ZL1 - Z/28 mounts were designed for track use (and the heavier supercharger in the case of the ZL1). The supercharger + lid weight 80 lbs more (vs the LS3 intake).

No noise/vibration added and zero issues - and I do track with those...

Yeah a little more vibration at idle. If you go with solid ones I’m sure that would increase the vibration noise

20952437

For a 2013 ZL1 or 2014 Z/28

Same part number

Special order — sometimes dealer can get it in a couple of days...

~$90 each (left/right are the same #)

https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/ac...tor+mount,5552

Rock auto lists them @ $101..

2 year warranty too!
