Back in college in Boulder, the cops would turn the riot-control beanbag gun on you for watching them & looking a little brown. I'll gladly take a cop who just wants to chat about a car. Making friends with a cop can come in handy, especially if he's the cop who usually gets the speeders on your streets.

No big deal about getting pulled over. These guys lay it on the line every day. I'd probably tell him to take his lunch break and go for a ride.

Whether he liked my car or not, if a cop pulls me over for no reason, I will report him. He abused his authority in this instance. I love cops and am so greatful that they do what they do on a daily basis, but overstepping your boundaries is not cool. So this cop put on his emergency flashers, pulled someone over (causing stress on the driver), creating a dangerous situation with a cop standing in the road...and why? Because the guy thought his car was cool?

Honestly, if this guy didn't pull over...because he knew he didn't do anything wrong, he would've been ran up on charges. Nothing grinds my gears more than people abusing authority.

Two of my friends are cops and I'm in good with a lot of the cops in my hometown but it's ridiculous to hear something like this.

Dude, car shows and dealerships come around for a reason. Just follow the guy until he pulls into a parking lot to talk to him about it.

First, if a cop flips on his lights, you pull over whether you did anything wrong or not. Don't EVER run from a cop with his lights on. NEVER! If you have proof you've been falsely accused, that's what court is for.

But most cops aren't like that despite what you might like to believe.

I'd consider it an honor to be pulled over by a cop just so he could check out my Camaro. I mean, isn't that part of the mystique of the car?

honestly im fully expecting to be pulled over at least once. Ive been driving for 10 years and have never gotten a ticket/been pulled over what have you but i drive right at 72-74 most of the time. I figure ill get pulled over with the camaro just so a cop can see it and tell me to slow down a little bit...

This is phenomenal. It finally points out that green isn't the only thing that America wants. The media has recently been posting a spree of commentary regarding GM's responsibility, as if they were so Godly themselves. They remind buyers that GM is poorly managed, which is a lie; that GM builds trucks, which we already knew; that GM is the biggest American motor company in size and production; which is an obvious truth; that GM doesn't compete, which is as true as Sol orbiting the Earth. Now, there is some good press backing GM. I'm shocked that anyone finds it surprising that GM builds great products, but it is good to see that the media is taking notice.

GM said any delay in federal funding won't affect plans to start selling the Volt next year.

"The Volt continues to be one of our highest priorities among all GM's future product programs and remains on track for a November 2010 launch -- with or without a Sec. 136 award," said GM spokesman David Darovitz.
