Question about washing and then paint correction

I washed my car last night in preparation for my paint correction; I'm planning to start with claying today.

I just remembered I did not use any type of cleaner to strip the old wax (even though I must have reminded myself 100 times throughout the day), what a knuckelhead! Anyway should I clean the car again to strip the old wax or will claying (actually speedy prep towel) be enough?

The speedy prep towel (or claying) is more than enough to remove your old wax... not to mention polishing the paint will remove it too. No need to over complicate things.

Great, that's what I was hoping to hear. I'm assuming the same hold true for any sealant on the car?

Washing is easy. If it were me, I would rewash just to avoid clogging up the clay and polishing pads with wax. I would think that would make them less effective. It would be like trying to shave your face with a ski mask on, sure it'll eventually work, but you'll go through a couple of razors just getting to your face.

Question about washing and then paint correction

Omg I am exhausted. 10 hours and the car looks the best it ever has, i'd say it 95% perfect. Some places I have to do a bit more work with the 4" pads on the PC but I am extremely happy with the result today, pics tomorrow. The Rupes 21 is the shit, so much better them the PC. But the PC still has it's uses for the 4" pads.

Lol, I did a full polish without strip washing last weekend, I didn't feel like adding my simple green to the soap for some reason. IDK why, but the clay should get rid of it, and if not than the polish will. Any car meets for MFCC this week?
