I've got the ATAK cat back and prior to the Kooks it was pretty loud. After being coupled with the Kooks, it's pretty loud....and even louder now with the cam/heads combo. I'll post a video once I get one from ECS.

Have heard the Retro Chambered up close and agree it is up there volume wise for a Catback only.

Flowmaster AT Catback only was OK loud. With Longtubes and Hiflows They really opened it up and with the Supercharger it roars. Need to do some drive by videos.
Great to see a thread on loudness for a change instead of the same old same old threads on drone.

Getting the SW installed myself, but I have heard the ATAK on a couple of cars. It is LOUD when you get on it, not so much at idle though.

Is the "Retro Chambered" an option? http://www.stainlessworks.net/produc...0-exhaust.html

Borla ATAK catback in my opinion is the sweetest sounding exhaust out there!. My friend has the SW retro catback exhaust and it also sounds nice but he himself likes the way my car sounds better specially under throttle. Its music to my ears! Or u can even do a muffler delete for way cheaper!!!! Hey he might get rid of his SW catback to get the Borla ATAK. He's been talking about it. He might have his for sale if thats what u like. From what i've heard the ATAK is also the loudest legal catback u can buy but i can be wrong. Havent heard others in person beside the Corsa, SW, and my Borla so i cant say but adding headers will change the whole tone of the car to either good or bad! Lol good luck

The SW Retro Chambered is louder than the ATAK. When we shot our videos we filmed the ATAK first and when we did the Retro Chambered we had to turn down our microphone's sensitivity because it was peaking out.

FM?

Everyone thinks their exhaust is the loudest with the best tone...However, audible levels aren't subjective so that surprises me..After the shows I have been to, I put Chambered first followed by ATAK.

...nothing I have heard will touch SW chambered... I would have been all over the Chambered or ATAK if I didn't want to do headers, but with headers...and now cam in the future, thank God I did not. I think my ears would bleed..

were there any fitment issues when connecting the retro chambered catback to the ARH headers? I plan on getting a set of LG headers by the end of next summer hopefully.

Corey had to lop off some of both systems and fabricate a 3" coupling. This created a true 3" system, as the SW started out at 2.5", so it can connect to a stock catted exhaust.

I'm looking into an exhaust too. I was first interested in the ATAK but now for the sound and the price (found it for $409) I think I'm going with the Flowmaster Outlaw.

On the trip to Pony Wars i was behind a guy from TCC5 that had Headers, no cats an X-pipe and muffler delete. He revved it up as we went under an overpass at 75 or so and i thought my windshield was going to blast back into me. That was STUPID LOUD and BADASS.
