Wiper blades. Can anybody recommend a good set?

Like the title says, it's time for me to replace my windshield wiper blades. Search didn't yield anything. Looking for some quality recommendations. Saw a commercial for the new Rain X ones. Thoughts?

Buried in the threads are part numbers and ordering info.

Even when it rains I don't need to use the windshield wipers...

Honestly, I'd check out giving your existing wipers a good cleaning first. Also clean the windshield and follow up with rain-x. Unless they're actually cracked or the rubber is brittle and hard, there's plenty of usable life in them.

If not...I'm sure you can find replacement inserts at a local auto parts store.

Rain-X when applied correctly works great. I hate the streaks it some times leaves but it works well. As for the wipers themselves, the stock wipers should work just fine.

I get the Rain-X from WalMart and have been happy with them.

I do clean them, treat them with the 303 wiper wipes too. I clay my glass and seal it with Adams glass sealant. I don't mess around! I've had the same OEM wipers since I got the car a little over a year ago so they've run their course and it was time for new ones.

I paid a visit to my local auto parts store, grabbed some called "Trico Force". It's raining today and I threw 'em on. They work great so far, no streaks and no noise. So far so good but the Canadian winter is on it's way so we shall see soon haha.

I'm very happy with my stock ones. Some of the best wipers I've ever had. I won't even look around when it's time to get a second set. I want these on my car.

To do this is very simple, you can use any one of the following:

  1. Alcohol Pads (Usually used to clean skin before taking a shot, Insulin, etc...)
  2. Wet Naps (like you get in a restaurant after a meal sometimes)
  3. Baby Wipes
  4. Spray Glass Cleaner on a Paper Towel
Also, because our Camaro wiper arms stay up when you lift them off the windshield (like if you're going to change the blades), you can wait until you know you won't be driving the car for a while and even Armor All your blades. Preferably, for those with Garages, do it when you get home and let it dry overnight before the blades come into contact with the glass again.

Making sure the windshield itself is very clean, as 1BADLS3 also stated, isn't a bad idea either.

Finally, a thread without the words winter, tires, oil, cai, or fog lights
Its nice to read a question that isnt asked over and over day after day.

What is the useful life of a set of wipers?

I've had my car since December 2009 and still have the same blades on there.....
