Don't be overly concerned. Cars and trucks are transported all the time. Just use a reputable carrier who is bonded and patiently wait for the vehicle. Also NY to Vegas sound very fun! Hope you win big! |

Plastic may stop debris or dirt but its not gonna stop anything major, like a chain coming loose or a gator (retread)

I had my Chevelle shipped from California to New Mexico.
I payed extra to have it in a closed carrier. When it arrive and the driver opened up the trailer door the roof of my car was badly damaged. Turns out the rack above my car was not raised up high enough and was resting on my car. Took 3,200 dollars and 2 months to fix my car. The reason for the 2 months was because the owner of the trucking company is a p.o.s. He drug his feet as long as he could in making payment. I don't think I ever want to transport a vehicle again. And as far as the trucking company I used. I wouldn't even let them haul my garbage. End of rant!!!!

It's a Ford Half Ton going to Vegas as well from another company. Had no side view mirrors on it though?

what size are the Falkens? I thought those were only made for the LT/LS. Good to know that they clear the big brakes on the SS

Good luck, my brother and I did car transporting for a while. We never had a problem with our open trailer, but we also treated each "load" like it was our own. If the guy is insured you should be covered even if there is a problem. Then again I only have a 2LT an I would be apprehensive about sending it like that. I completely understand your anxiety. |

Seems like shipping your car by truck is safer than shipping it on a ship.
