Mine is at the body shop now. Last week came over a hill and hit a tree limb laying in the road. It removed the splitter and I ran over it before I could react.

I would think your time might better be served on a Parenting forum than here. Esp. as you have said there are other behavioral issues. Sounds like a divorced single child that maybe blaming himself / father etc. or something else. Neither of the cars involved are collectors or EVER will be. Perspective. But I don't know whats best for what you are responsible nor have I walked a mile in your shoes sooo, feel free to ignore.
