LFX Knock Knock Help
I have a 2012 V6 3.6l Lfx that I hate. It's mostly stock. At the time, I had recently replaced the starter & got the oil changed. Five to ten miles after the oil change, my engine started violently knocking. From my OBD2 I got P0496, P0324, & P0303. Yayy! I took the valve cover off to see if I could find anything wrong. Some dirty oil above cyl 3 & the cam actually had a little rust. From that, I could assume that oil is not circulating well. I'll link some pictures & a couple of videos. I'm looking for advice, suggestions, what to do, etc. I was trying to fix it before I sell it, but I might not do that anymore. Is it as easy as changing the spark plugs? Or is it a timing chains issue. Help needed.

Is there any oil in it? It sounds real bad.
Best be finding a good used v6. If any exist.

Boy, that sounds bad. How many miles on that engine? You stated you had the oil changed (didn’t do it yourself) and then a few miles later it starts knocking. My cynical/paranoid nature has me questioning the oil change procedure. If the engine is a high miler and indeed toasted you may want to cut your loses and sell it as a parts car and continue to enjoy your SS.
