i dont daily the car anymore. long simple story of why i took it to work today. 2 words: street sweeper

any ways, i was driving behind a demo truck and i could not see that IT drove over a piece of wood (plywood/2x4 combo) until seconds before. I had no way to change lanes so i stopped/slowed down safely......but not till after i drove over it with the fronts and the 2 front tires got punctured multiple times and both got punctured on the inner sidewalls. i managed to save the rears by stopping in time. i didnt know they were punctured right there and then since i simply backed up, changed lanes and went about my way. 3 minutes later, the tpms sensor on the front driverside was at 24 pounds and almost 30 seconds later the passenger front was at 27

i limped it to a tire shop. They didnt have the tires i needed/wanted in stock so i bought two used pirelli tires for $40 to get the car home but ordered 2 mpss that will be here tomorrow :(

Its almost as if something was out to get you, that really sucks! At least you weren't harmed. Damn.

it was just the tires. i guess i lucked out in a sense. im just pissed because i had the $2500 set aside for the X1 and the blend door actuator repair thats its going to the dealer for in 2 weeks. now im short $8

I got $600 out of mine on craigslist within 3 days of listing when I was in San Antonio. LA is a big city, someone will buy them
