Just curious : was this RP Syncromax fluid red like ATF or is it more like gear oil. I know every one here uses ATF but the owners manual states " Manual Transmission Fluid " with no other designation

It is purple in color , it has the viscosity of atf but with additives in it. Defiantly not just atf with some purple dye tho. I heard it can be substituted for oil used in sealed centrifugal supercharger's

I have a Haynes manual and it recommends API GL-5 75w90 gear oil. I changed my transmission fluid less than a week ago with this stuff and the shifting feels better.
