So, since this thread is for you, Shno, what do you think? Will you be getting a ZL-1 or are you holding out for the sasquatch?

I agree, Shno. You should give us your thoughts on the Z/twenlllllllllllllllllllll one.

The Z section is so busy I had to go all the way down to the bottom to find the House.

Lots of complaining and "I wish they woulda" but for the most part I think that's a pretty good indicator of the excitement.

And with the power 6 way passenger seat, Mrs. Number 3's number one complaint is gone. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So if Chevy built only 69 ZL1s the sticker on the window would have been about?

It was an additional $4,000.00 on the 69, add a couple hundred for inflation...

..... 80 grand sounds fair

I am guessing even more due to the additional validation and regulatory costs. My guess would put it in ZR1 territory if Chevy built only 69. Building more than 69 i devalues the name say some.

Many expressed similar opinions when the new GTO was released. The new GTO was faster, handled better, stopped better did everything better, but it wasn't a GTO. It didn't matter the original GTO came out of the spare parts box at Pontiac. It didn't matter that over the years of production one generation of GTO didn't look like the last. The purity of the name had in some passionate caring enthisiasts eyes been compromised.

I see a series of GTO model changes. Others see it differently. I embrace the new ZL1 while others

Put me down for one who thought the 04-06 GTO was perfectly in line with what DeLorean did for the original 64 GTO. Also, I still want to get an 06 GTO, but now that idea has been put on the back burner, next year have to buy son his first car and my ZL1.

ZZEEEEEeeeeeee

All is right with the world.

I just had this funny image in my head...
You walk into a Chevy showroom...

Off to the right there's a ZR1, Z06, ZL1, and SS...combined total of over 2120hp...

In the middle there's a Silverado 3500 HD Duramax, Suburban, Impala, and Malibu,

and off to the left there's a 42mpg Cruze, 45mpg Sonic, and a as-many-as-you-want mpg Volt.

What other brand can say that?!??!
