I plan to install some soon. Its great for nite shows which is all I'd use it for. I already have a lot of LEDs now which is an attention getter but want to add these too.

I used to have a black ford explorer with green under it. I ran them on all the time since its not illegal here in Florida (depending on the color) I've thought about doing just the sides with green to run all the time, and then blue under the hood just for show every now and then. I don't think it's "ricerish", yeah they did ruin it quite a bit, but I enjoy a subtle amount of neon under the car

had it on my car and it looked great IMO.
i attend a monthly night car show and it gets a lot of good comments. not all of them are great but who the hell cares ? one mod might excite one and not the other. if you like it than do it. just like the post above. it is a shame that stupid nissans and hondas ruined it. if they never put those on the cars, everyone would have a different input.

look at TCAT's and LEONARDO's camaros. probably two of the best modded out camaros on c5 IMO. neither get crap about their cars. they both carry the underglow and boy it looks great.

Underglow?

I'd say underglow is like straight pipes or any other exhaust. When one person loves it, there's another that hates it.

I'd say yes. I have it on mine and use it every day(along with LEDs in the grill, fender vents, interior, and halos). I get people all the time telling me that they love my car, and even asking if I would install lights on their cars.

I love when fairly stock outta the box cars knock a modded car about their personal taste (not meaning you just quoted your comment). These "fast and furious" cars are raking in the awards at car shows so we are doing something right. In the last 3 weeks I've won Best in Show, Mgrs Choice, Best Late model, top 25 and top 10. I don't understand why we can't just agree to disagree. There is no need to be rude to a poster that clearly has an amazing car such as Camarol.

however you are correct it only attracts fast and furious crowds....funny how while at car show today everyone gathering around my car even without under glow on. Must have been the high wing. |

I guess you missed the part where CamaroI said that people were either jealous or "stupid" for not liking underglow lights on an American Muscle car. But I see that you quickly pointed out how many trophies that can be won from having them on your car, good job. To each their own. Some people like to attract attention (from anyone and everyone) with some of their mods, and some people like to attraction attention (from certain more respectable crowds) with a well put together selection of modifications that are more "function over form" and tasteful than flashy and gawdy. I'm glad that your lights and all the other mods on your car are working out for you, I truly am. But as I scroll back through this thread, I can see the general consensus, and that's enough validation for me.
