Damn, that's booking! At Buttonwillow I hit 113 MPH with just coilovers, I now reach 130 MPH. Hard to believe I picked up that much speed, but I sure feel it.

How about Big Willow? I hear that's a blistering fast track.

I haven't had my car there yet.On my bike i saw 167 at Fontana, and 150 at Willow down the front stretch, but turn #8 at Willow is one of the fastest turns in north America,we would go into # 8 at 140, our knees would start dragging at 145 and we would exit at 150,so yes pretty wicked fast.

That looked like a ton of fun however is it possible to get the wheels in a higher offset? Looks a little weird poking out like that

Just came back from Thunderhill today. My car is still stock but I had a blast and I advanced up run group too. I ran with several 911s, Vettes (they had a Vette event yesterday) and one other 1LE from here. Great to know that we can hang with such high-caliber cars!! Sorry if I'm thread jacking...

First off congrats on the great track car you have put together. Do you have any more details on the engine mods you have done? Did you do a build thread on that?

You learn to love the ghetto look of the track tires not tucking when they reward you with fast laps, LOL. I think they're fine for a dedicated track set up, but for the street I agree with you that I wouldn't go this wide. I run my stock wheels and tires on the street.

I don't think you can go more offset, you're stuck with reducing the wheel and tire width. The Z/28 has fender flares to help tuck the 305s, which also looks kind of goofy to me. It's a trade-off, depends on how dedicated to performance you want to make your Camaro.

They've got a lot to be proud of, between the Camaro and the Corvette these cars just plain kick ass. Chevy has figured out the recipe.

Awesome, Mark. You must have run with Kevin, he said it was a blast. Did you time your laps? I didn't time mine at Thunderhill, but will next time I'm there.

impressive mods. How much have you spent?

Question: why Hawk HP+ vs Hawk DTC-70 or Hawk DTC-60?
