SS VIN range that have faulty transmissions?

When will GM release a VIN range that have faulty transmissions? I know the other thread was "closed" but this issue still exists and it shouldn't disappear without letting those of us know who bought Camaro's recently within a possible affected range like mine whether or not we are affected or not. I've been babying the car for the break in however in the back of my mind this "unknown" still exists..

Scott Fbodfather did say GM would have a VIN range released soon. We have yet to here anything more from GM about this issue. If GM would tell us what he problem was, how many were affected and how they were able to test whether or not the vehicles were defective, it would calm a lot of us down who own cars built roughly at the same time as those affected.. My VIN is 2G1FS1EwXA9122517. The ones affected that we know of were built close to my VIN and I'm pretty sure others in this forum as well. Please GM, give us some new info on this issue...

They wont. GM said that they would contact the ones effected by the M6 issue directly via phone.

So we'll build our own, approximate range. So we'll have "information" that's not quite right when GM could easily just release the info. And if our range happens to include non-affected cars, it's just going to cause more hassle for them. The quicker they realize that keeping secrets is not the answer, the better off we'll all be.

And btw, I did some harder launches (including one with LC) and it didn't blow up. VIN #xxxxx.

Man some of you need to chill out. GM will contact you if yours is faulty
what is so hard to understand about that? My friend has a lower vin than me and they contacted him so I am sure they will get in touch with you if yours is faulty.

They did? What vin? And what did they say? Is/did he bring it in to get it fixed? Are they replacing the whole trans?

Assuming this is even true, this would be the first one of these I've heard of.

My wife and I work everyday and usually don't get home until after 6:00 PM, so are they going to make calls to customers after 5:00 PM (normal business hours)? Will they leave messages with call back numbers so we can find out if our car is affected? A list would be nice. Just saying.

Fbodfather did also say it could take maybe a couple weeks to identify all cars that may be affected. It wasn't going to be a list that just gets compiled over night and published the next day.
I don't see anyone here letting the issue "disappear," but we have to give it some time for them to do their work before they can announce anything more than they have already.

Close to my VIN (18278), Although I had a tpw of 6/9 I still don't have my 2SS/RS.

I read on here somewhere that it was between 20000 &22000 Don't know for sure. My salesman told me August 4 they will start fixing (examining) the ones in QC and as my luck would have it i'm just under 21000

When is GM going to contact you? For people like me, I haven't even taken delivery yet. I have a hard time believing that GM wants to call the future owner of my SS, but say, well we will wait til he takes delivery then call him. I am way too small and GM has way too many fish to fry for that to come true. Personally I just think it is lip service

PANIC AGAIN!

So here we go, let's have another wave of panic attacks. Let's take it easy folks.

The information will come out eventually.

Every time, I see these threads start to gain traction, I think of the Movie "Airplane" and Johnny who works at airport control as an admin. assistant.

" Johnny, what can you make of this!"

"Oh, I can make a broach, paper hat, airplane........"
