suggestions V6 Mod or SS

So heres my problem. I have a 2011 camaro 1LT, ive put on a cold air inductions CAI. Now im looking to buy American Racing Headers and an MRT axle back exhaust then have it tuned, however i want to be in Challenger territory with around 375 hp. what else could put me to that area?

Should I just get an SS? Im 21 years old, and still owe $12,500 on my car now after taking out a 6 year loan, same loan id be taking out on an ss with a way lower interest rate. your thoughts? thank you!
would like to hear a take on both thoughts!

Insurrance man it'd all in the insurrance the v6 ohld take a lot to get to where the SS I t and by then u could have already bought a nice used SS without any nodding don't to it. So if u can deal with the higher insurrnce than get the SS hands down.

Yeah just been debating and going back and forth. I know my car now woould have around 350ish hp with the parts id be putting into it, but for the cost of all that and the tune, i could pay a bit more and have an ss.

Being that you are 21 I would say keep the V6 for now, however if you even kind of have an V8 itch then it's time to upgrade to the SS. Your post above is the perfect reason why you may be better off buying an SS. I wouldn't fret over insurance, that's not going to be the back breaker on an SS for you.

Call your insurance agent and get a quote before you decide. What you pay in extra insurance expenses on the SS may be enough $$ to get you that kick-a$$ V6 you're wishing for...

Called the insurance company a while ago its not a big issue was a little more than im paying now. Plus next April, my agent said my insurance will go way down as ive been driving for 6 years. So insurance is bo issue, its really the idea of financing 12,500 left on my car plus the amount of money performance parts will cost. Or do i go ahead and get a loan for around 23k for 6 years with a Lower interest rate.

Since you don't owe that much more, pay the V6 off and keep it as a daily driver. Then buy a V8 and mod it. If your V8 has problems from mods you still have another car while its fixed.

Well my goal with the V6 would to get up around 375 horsepower. Just i dont think the tune, long tube headers, exhaust and cold air intake will get me there. I dont wanna go with forced induction either.

You might as well check with your insurance company. When I traded from my 2LT to the 2SS I only increased by $6 which was about $90 for FC on the Camaro and Liability and on a second car. That was under 25. I had a Subaru STI at 22 and was around $76 for FC.

Of course this is all varies on your record, credit, location, and policy coverage.

It's not all about power. How often do you actually use the extra 100HP or tq? I really like the sound of the SS thats what originally drew me to it over a V6. The extra power is awesome though. And the brembos are a pretty big + too =]

Insurance isnt an issue for me at all. Its do I mod my V6 and get where i want it to be or put that money towards an SS. I mean i dont drive on tracks, my car gets taken off the road for the winter and i drive my 94 ford taurus. But thinking of the ss i think of the price of them staggered sized tires and bot being able to rotate and the expensive brembo brakes, although id do all the work myself.
That SS badge has history and meaning but the sound of a v8 theres nothing like it. But that would also cost me about 10k more adding onto my loan.
