I watched again it looks like they're a mile above sea level. That should explain it, but either way I didn't care too much for this video. Also the fact the Mustang is on all season tires and the Camaro is on new summer tires was a bit of an unfair comparison.

Mustang GT was all over the place at the track and slower than a Miata, Scion FRS, VW GTI......

All of those sites, (esp 'the fast lane anything') are big ford backers. So the mustang had to at least keep up.

What was with the low torque comments on the Camaro? Did he have traction control/stabilitrac kicking in and cutting power?

It looks like they're not turned off. As barely as I can see the gauge cluster I do not see any yellow indicators on.

Edit: Turned up to 1080 and he had them off, so I have no idea how he says no torque since he's pretty much in the max torque range... Probably the stiffer suspension and it's not throwing him back compared to stang when it's coming out loaded up. These guys were also cutting high 5 second 0-60 lol

They said the Camaro is a track car and basically is on another level compared to the Mustang at the track. The reason why he may have felt there was less torque out of the corners is due to having to fight the Mustang through the corners due to oversteer and poor traction. Both cars were on their factory tires...so there was nothing unfair about it...Ford chose to put the Pirelli P Zero's on the Mustang. Even with better tires the Mustang GT's suspension is not as finely tuned, and it experiences more oversteer and body roll, so it would have gotten smoked regardless. Four seconds is an eternity at the track for one lap.

The Mustang GT was also never designed to be a track oriented performance car. Hence the name Mustang GT (Grand Touring)

Grand Touring - Sporty cars that can make long distance drives in comfort.

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm not a fan of their reviews. I'll check it out once I can get it to load on my phone.

As far as Mustang tires go.. People love to say the base GT costs 4k less than Camaro.. I'm not saying you're that person, but those same people I hope aren't complaining that a Mustang with better tires wasn't tested.

I just replaced a tire..these damn things are not cheap :(

It was mostly a duh moment. Of course the Mustang is going to be a lot slower. It can't get any traction. But it is true, there are people saying the GTPP should have been used. Either way the Mustang would have still lost, but I'd rather see what the Mustang can do with stickier tires.

Overall I don't like he video. I'm not a fan of the hosts of editing.

Which would be very dumb to complain about. They're comparing them as they come from the factory, so it's not any reviewers fault for Ford putting shitty tires on their car.
