Opinions on the DSX E-85 Auxiliary Kit
Hey guys. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on E-85, specifically the DSX auxiliary pump. I've done a bunch of reading and research on it and it seems like a decent kit for the money. Has anyone done it that regrets doing it or am I pretty safe in going this route? The Squash/Fore systems are not in the budget any time soon.

It's fine if you want to limit yourself to 650-700hp. I wouldn't trust it beyond that...then you go with Squash or Fore and likely new rails.

Lots of guys go way past 650-700 myself included. I am running E85 and am at 729 rwhp and the fuel pressure is rock solid at 70psi. From my reading and talking to guys putting down way more hp than me, I would say the max is around 900-1000. Do some DD and go which ever way you feel comfortable. Better yet give Dave at DSX a call. Very smart guy and seems to be a straight shooter. |

The factory fuel rail is also not a significant choke of fuel supply to the injectors. I'm not sure where the misconception originated from that a 3/8" fuel rail isn't big enough, but realistically, you can put 1000+ whp on ethanol through that stock fuel rail and not run into an issue. It can handle the pressure and volume without concern. The only problem with a stock rail in my opinion is people trying to run a huge shot of nitrous and pulling the fuel off the rail. |

I run the dsx w/ 80% ethanol, id1050x, 23% lower, LTs, Cam, etc etc... fpcm edited, 70% duty cycle, 70psi ... no issues. Great system, Great tune from Dave
Even installed it myself... with the flex fuel kit |

Thanks for the input. I'm really leaning toward this kit if I do the E-85 route. I really don't think I'd go much more beyond that so my thought is that the 1050 injectors and supporting mods would be ok.

Who is providing the fpcm programming now? no one i talked
to wants to do it via swap or on bench so if you are trying to do e85 as a DIY you are stuck with Fore or squash which drives the price point per hp up considerably Is it just one variable in the fpcm max fuel pressure? |

I have offered it for direct purchasers, but anybody with HPT can edit it now, so I don’t really offer it because it can be a hassle.
The aux pump itself flows about 210lph at 500kPa. |
