The A10 does some awesome burnouts
This transmission is hilarious. Today I did my first intentional burnout in the ZL1. I’ve gotten sideways plenty of times, but this was the first time I’ve nailed it from a stop with the TC turned off (sport/competitive mode). Just a mild brake boost to get it onto the converter, then let off the brake as I nailed the throttle. It was still roasting the tires in 3rd as the A10 ripped through the gears. There was so much smoke behind me that I decided to lift. We’ve had a lot of wildfires lately, and didn’t want to alarm anyone, lol.
As a guy who’s traditionally owned manual trans cars, I found it really impressive and effortless. I’m still laughing about it. |

I remember once 20+ years ago me and my brother took my (390) 67 mustang out for some action. I brake standed a burnout until i hit about 110 mph on the speedo - i couldnt even see my brother in the car there was so much smoke. I let off the brake and let it feather out for what seemed to be about an 1/8 mile. That was the biggest smokiest burnout ive ever done.
