100 or 159?

Been doing ALOT of thinking, and I think I figured out what I want to do.

I was either going to:

a) Trade my 6 for an 8

b) supercharge

or c) Nothing

I couldnt do A) because I loveeee the color of my synergy green camaro and there were no 8's in green in my province. I can't afford supercharge and to tell you the truth I really don't "Race" that much.

So I decided to do nothing... THAT IS.... until I remembered there is a beautiful thing called Nitrous.

I seriously think Nitrous is the answer I am looking for!

That being said, Should I run 100 or 150?

I am wanting the most power, but I don't want to run 150 if my car will go KABOOM!

My setup consist of the following:
BBK long tube headers/hi flow cats.
MRT 1
CAI intake
Stage 4 ported intake manifold
Intake Manifold spacer
Plenum spacer
Ported Throttle body.

If I ran 150 would I need to look at upgrading more things in my car???

That car is an automatic.

I would do 125 at most if you can't afford for something to go boom. I do recommend staying at 100 if you aren't racing for money or something.

Hmm. thats a good idea. 125 seems like a good over number.

What kits provide 125? I wouldn't mind getting a kit that can do 150 aswell JUST incase I DO decide to run 150.

Pretty much all the kits do up to 150. ZEX, Nitrous Outlet, NY-Trex

Look into a progressive controller if u run a bigger shot. It will help soften the hit to the suspension and help with wheel spin. I run one one my 67 so initial hit off the line is 20%.

Yes, not as big of a shock to engine and suspension at once. The progressive controller is adjustable for what ever % u want.

don't think you need a progressive controller with 150shot or smaller. if you got more than 150, then I would look at progressive. That's IMO. would recommend a window switch so you don't start spraying until at least 3k rpm.

yeah, people use nitrous in different ways I guess. I never spray off the line, so don't have issues with traction.

I run the Ny-trex Triple Treat system at 100HP level and have great results. I gained a second in ET and 7mph. That was on a open diff with P/zero tires. I spray at 3500 in first gear. I use a full manual control system that works off a button I control when to spray. I could not spray from the line without major traction problems. <---- With the open diff and stock tires. I have over 150 runs at the 100HP level. Make sure whatever system you use to have some basic safety backups in place. Low fuel pressure cut-off, bottle pressure gauge, etc.

Just take it slow and do it right. Look at the FI list and see all the folks running nitrous and read about their experiences. Hit up vendors and get their opinons. Basically, learn from what others have already done.
