What is this?
Hi guys, I’m hoping you all can help. The lady friends 2016 Mustang (yes I know it’s a mustang but I need help lol) has this ugly thing show...I have no idea what it is, nor what to do to get rid of it. It’s almosy like a run mark, and when you run your finger across it has a weird feeling to it.
I’ve tried: claying, ultimate Polish with white and orange pads...won’t go away. It’s hard to get on camera or even see but still. Is this anything serious? I’ve tried googling and that was useless. |

Run your fingernail over it, can you feel it? if not use IPA and see if that removes it. You used polish, try something more aggressive? Try wet sanding? If you're not comfortable wet sanding find someone who is.

You can feel it. And I can try IPA, wet sanding not the most comfortable! I’m not sure what the heck it is.

this could also be a factory defect that was touched up at the factory and nothing can be done except respray. I have one on my car that only the best eye will catch.

I thought too, you can feel it. Her car is solid too, except the door had to get replaced because the seal broke lose and was holding water in the door...

very well could be after looking at the rust on the door. I would have the dealership look at it I know most times they are useless.
