We are proud to announce the
“ALL NEW” GM EFI Race Series 15 at Raceway Park!! The title & presenting sponsors, Team ECS, American Racing Headers, PFadt engineering, Comp cams/FAST, Mantic clutch, SLP, Pro Torque, and TR's auto body, proudly announce a new format for the GM EFI Race Series 15 along with additional race dates for 2011 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Even more sponsors are in the works for this exciting new class, I will update this thread as they come in!! if your a sponsor and not listed, please PM me right away, and I'm sure I speak for all the racers when I say THANK YOU! The series will consist of an 8.90 Index class, and a Bracket class. The season will consist of eight points races which will be held on the same Saturdays as the East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge dates: April 23, May 21, June 11, July 23, Aug 20 & 27, Oct 22 & 29. In addition, the top two points racers in each class will be invited to race at two Raceway Park Summer Shows - 36th annual Snap-on Tools Night of Thrills presented by P.C. Richard & Son - Saturday, June 18 and 41st annual P.C. Richard & Son Summer Motorsports Spectacular - Wednesday, July 20. The series classes are open to all GM EFI equipped vehicles, Corvette-Camaro-GTO-G8-Caddy-Trucks, etc. Both classes are eligible for the points series. Sign up in the tower on race day before first round, or I will post the link here shortly to sign up on line. There will also be some end of season product giveaways from our sponsors to the points champions, so don’t forget to sign up! Rules and payouts will be posted shortly along with our official website name. You can post questions here retaining to this "New Series" |

2011 EFI Bracket Rules
Race Format: ET Bracket Racing on a .500 full tree. Class will be run on the ¼ mile (deep staging is allowed, tree will not be held, auto start will be active) Body: Any year full bodied GM with working head/tail lights Chassis: Stock frame rails (No tube/sq. tube, half back frame cars) Windows: Glass only Interior: Full interior, stock dash, door panels and carpet Suspension: Stock location Engine: GM powered Electric Fuel Injected (EFI) Transmission: Any GM (trans brake allowed) Power adders: Any Fuel: Gasoline only (alcohol may be injected before throttle body) Exhaust: Muffler(s) are required Electronics: Two step & nitrous controller system allowed (No electronic throttle stops, delay boxes, optic sensors, use of any device, mechanical or electronic, that permits the driver to ascertain the position of their vehicle in relation to the starting line) Tires: Any type Safety: Car & driver must meet NHRA rules for ET. 2011 EFI 8.90 Index Rules Race Format: All Run Field, Sportsman Ladder, 8.90 Index, ¼ mile, .500 Pro tree, courtesy staging in effect, must qualify quicker than 9.99 to race, qualifiers faster than 8.90 go to bottom of ladder, break out looses, double break out- least break out advances, (deep staging is allowed, tree will not be held, auto start will be active) Body: Any year full bodied GM (no one piece aftermarket front ends or forward facing hood scoops higher than 6 inches) Chassis: Stock frame rails (No tube/sq. tube, frame cars) half back allowed Windows: All glass, operating side windows Interior: Stock dash, door panels Suspension: Stock style front end, back half ok. No spindle front ends. Engine: GM powered Electric Fuel Injected (EFI) max, cu. in. 440 Transmission: Any GM (trans brake & air shifters allowed) Power adders: Any Fuel: Primary Fuel Source must be gas (Methanol injection is allowed on forced induction) Exhaust: Must meet Raceway Park noise level requirements Electronics: Two step & progressive nitrous controller system permitted (No electronic throttle stops, delay boxes, optic sensors, use of any device, mechanical or electronic, that permits the driver to ascertain the position of their vehicle in relation to the starting line) Tires: Any type Safety: Car & driver must be certified to 8.50 ET per NHRA guidelines |
