But don't you think you could send him info on the glovebox? GM knows about that problem and admits its a problem and has a fix. You could simply shoot him a PM on where the info is so that he can go to his dealer and get it fixed (instead of him just slamming it harder and eventually breaking something else - Which is a pretty Mickey Mouse way for a dealership to act).

That course of action would not compute with his programing.

Built in Sept 2011, delivered in Oct. Had a few slight rub marks that were corrected with the top enhancement. 10,000 miles of nothing but top down driving enjoyment. No other quality issues. I had a brand new 2002 Toyota Camry SE one of the few models still built in Japan in 2002, and from day one it was in the shop every other day; it was a creaky, poorly built car. Not one creak in the Camaro, it's rock solid.

Had it for 2 months and 3 days so far. 2100 miles and it hasn't been into the shop yet. Knock on wood. The old car was already in for top, seat tear, 2 window regulators, paint falling off the doors, window trim, and water leaks by this point in ownership. So far so good. Ask me at the end of August.

This is great feedback! What is your favorite attribute on your Camaro? We love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have.

Picked up 30 December 2011...just turned 9000 miles last night...top has been up and down more than a porn star and no issues what so ever! I will be taking her back to the Beach today and you can bet...the top will be down again! LOL

Had ours 2 weeks today, 2100 miles and had the first big rainstorm last night. After almost 50 top cycles no problems. Love this car more every day.

Built 3/11, bought NEW 6/12. We obviously haven't had the car long. The car was used a dealer loaner, due to the 1800 miles on it when we bought it two weeks ago. I have researched to DEATH all the known issues, fixes, bulletins, TSBs and such. All of the physical fixes have been done to this top.
The vehicle has been in 3-4 torrential downpours while doing down the highway and not one drop of water has been found inside.
As for the appearance of the top there are no rub marks. There is some wrinkling/creases on the rear quarter areas of the top, most noticeable after the top comes back up, but within a few hours it smoothes out.
We are extremely satisfied.
I am baffled by the hit or miss issues for those who have problems. Seems to be no rhyme or reason as far as production dates/year models.

You are one lucky guy! Congrats. I believe the problems are ending up on cars prior to Feb 2012 build date. Enjoy. I hope to be enjoying again tomorrow with mine being among the repaired! They truly are awesome cars.

I think GM farms out the top assembly to an outside company. GM just installs them. Maybe they have the same quality issues with the units built on Monday's and Friday's. Maybe someone that works for GM can confirm this.
