My ZL1 is a summer only car .If money was no problem what is the best hi performance street tire to use on stock ZL1 wheels ? . I am looking for something that will keep my back end on the ground . I am putting 618 HP at the wheels and the stock tires are all over the place

Mickey Thompson ET Streets if you want the best hooking tire. But you'll only get about 3,000 miles out of them and give up hard cornering.

Its what I'm running but I'm at 700rwhp and its the only tire i can get traction with on the street.

Toyo R888Rs if you want to road course and/or drag. Can still drive on street. Don’t expect high mileage as grippy and mileage don’t mix. Just ordered mine to try them out. Goodyear’s just can’t grip on mine. I have MT E Street SS set if I want to go straight.

We’ll see how they do but a lot of fair reviews on what to expect...

Thinking about trying the toyos as well. What other tires were you considering to buy aside from them?

Are you saying the Goodyears don't work for you on a road course?, or just the street and strip..

Goodyear’s are fine on road course but with my power, not great on street.

I’m going with Toyos to see how road course and street performs. I have 2 sets — goodyears and Toyos...

I have a set of mt drag radials to also test on street, but mts are not corner carvers. Toyos should be fair for all summer stuff...

Called on toyos. Over 1700 delivered but come in stock size.

That makes sense, I have had great luck with the Goodyear for track days. They stay on my OEM wheels for just that purpose only, run aftermarket rims Michelin’s for everyday cruising. I did run with a guy last year who had r888’s on a Hellcat and the left front was gone after 50laps, but it did stick before he burned it..

Heavy car, bet they were overheated ;o)...

Tire pressure and load has to be watched for sure!
