It's always hard to narrow down noises especially if your car is louder than stock. I had a whistle that started after owning the car for 5 years and couldn't figure it out. This youtube video solved it for me.lol

I don't know why it does it as it is the original mirror and all paint but it is right there. If I put my finger near the edge of the mirror the noise goes away. Silliest little thing but that is what it was on my car.lol

That's sooo funny that you found that! I too had a whistling noise and couldn't for the life of me figure it out. Then one day I just listened to it real closely to see if I could narrow it down, and it was in fact the drivers side mirror!! I would stick my finger over it like you did, and it went away, move my finger and it came back! Once I figured that out, I just ignored it. And the passenger side mirror probably doesn't do it because if you look at it, it is shorter top to bottom than the driver side. Nice find though.

Typically speaking, most times that a whistling is heard it is either: 1) a weird aerodynamic problem (mirrors, torn door/window seal, roof rack, etc.), or 2) a vacuum leak on the engine (usually involving the intake manifold, and/or throttle body/carburetor.))

For those utilizing the FAST intake, the smaller vacuum port at the rear IS NOT capped off straight out of the box...(in my experiences dealing with them.)

I had the same issue. I used clear paint protection film cut to spec and covered the seam on the mirror to stop the whistle.

That's an excellent idea! Gotta try that. Thanks.
