Recaro seat help

Anyone have a document showing how to correctly disassemble the seat back support of the recaros? Replacing the seat pan with new motors and harness but need to get to the airbag connector without damaging the seat back.

Sorry 2014-2015 recaros

Thanks!
Andrew

I believe the factory service manual for the 2015 has complete instructions on disassembly and repair of these seats. I will try to remember to check tomorrow. I have the 2015 manuals out in my shop.

The 2015 Service Manual does cover the Recaro Seat Disassembly.
The quick and dirty to get to the airbag connector is:
1. Remove outer adjuster finish cover (outer panel from hinge to seat front)
2. Remove inner recliner finish cover (cover over inner side hinge)
3. Disengage the J-channel retainer from the lower side of the seat back cushion cover that wraps around itself.
4. Disengage both cushion cover zippers, then flip the cover up to expose the seat back pad and frame. (The seams on the rear side of the seat are actually zippers. The ends of the zippers with the pulls are folded over and tucked up into the seat back.)

I believe this will get you far enough into the seat to get to the airbag electrical connector and this should also get you to the recline motor.
