The SS is supposed to have a slightly lower and stiffer ride, resulting in overall better handling.

So if I lowered the V6 the handling should be similar?

The V6 cars have the FE2 suspension while the V8 cars are designated FE3.
I don't have the stats/dimensions and descriptions of each. FWIW, from the 2009 CTS Brochure: "The FE2 Sport Suspension emphasizes handling responsiveness." "The FE3 Performance Handling Suspension offers the ultimate in agility and body control." From my experience at Milford, the V6 had a softer ride but also very little body lean. The V8 had a tighter feel and was a bit stiffer (but not harsh at all) and seemed more responsive to steering inputs. Not as stiff as the Bilstein Level II with SFCs and STB on my 4th Gen SS. Best regardSS, Elie

No, there are no suspension upgrades at all with the RS package.
