Some of us are traveling a good ways, I hope they don't have us travel just to rain out. Regarding reschedule, nothing's going to work for everyone....I say just pick a weekend day as far out as possible so folks can try to adjust plans. My 2 cents.

The way this rain has been going I'd say we have a good chance of pulling this off. They've been saying scattered thunderstorms every day for the past two weeks but most days there's been little or no rain. But when it does rain we've been getting it good.
I know traveling to get rained out would suck but we're not rescheduling per say, we're putting together another day "in case" we get rained out. Last Saturday they were saying there was a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms and it turned out to be a really nice day for us but all the areas around us got rain. Austin is very strange that way. You can watch a storm go all the way around us and not rain on us at all. Strange. We'll just need to show up Saturday and go from there. Obviously, if radar shows we are going to get pummeled on Saturday then we'll call it then but we have to wait and see. IF, it rains I'll pick a date from there. It will not be in June I know that so there will be a little time to figure it out. Let's keep our fingers crossed. We're looking forward to meeting y'all! Only 5 days to go!

So how's the weather up there and what does the forecast look like? My wife says its been raining like no tomorrow at our place. Naval Air Station is losing planes to flooding.

My optimism was starting to fade but after looking at the local weather report things are looking up! With only a 30% chance of scattered T-storms I think we "may" be ok. I was going to copy and paste the website report but that turns out to be too much of a pain.
Keep the faith!!!!

Forecast for Saturday is still looking promising. 30/40% chance of light rain. We can deal with that. I would prefer dry as a bone but....

Track day at Driveway Austin (May 16th)...Interest?
My faith is waning... I see 60% thunderstorms by 11am. My car is useless on a wet track. I hope if the forecast is > 50% they make the right call to cancel early. I have this feeling I'm going to pack up tomorrow, drive up early Saturday am just to turn around and drive home after its rained out. All other events I've participated in cancel Friday morning if rain is likely. If they don't call it early, I hope my weather app is wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well....The apps say it was raining all day today and I can tell you they were wrong....Again.
The weather around here is anyone's guess. At home my wife tells me it was sunny and nice all day and the ground was dry when I got home. Around work, it looked like the ark could float by at any moment in the morning but by lunch looked pretty good. I agree. I would like them to call it early if they're going to at all but that's not how Austin's weather works and they know that. Besides, it might be more fun to fill my street with Camaros and make the neighbors wonder WTF. I'll just tell them I couldn't make up my mind so I bought them all. LOL. No cab would be needed since my wife is the permanent DD. She could be the shuttle, or the resupply train. LOL Either way, I'm good with it. I know I'm not driving 3.5 hours each way but there are worse things in the world. Besides, you'll get here and the sun is going to be out and the clouds will hold their tears. Bring it! LOL C U All Soon. (My wife told me I was getting to wordy.....)
