Where does this part go?

So today I did the ZL1 Sideskirts on my 1LE and when taking off the driver side, I found this part in the Driver side rocker stock PN: 92212989 - Camaro Fender Front Insulator is what it says it is looking it up. It was inside the rocker and I have NO idea where it goes or where it came from. Passenger side didnt have it (it was tucked in the front corner of the driver side rocker)

Does anyone know exactly where this part goes? I am stumped and cant figure it out, looked at the diagram on newgmparts.com and it doesn't specify where its from. Any and all help appreciated guys, thanks!

Camaro Fender Front Insulator
sounds like it is a part that fits inside the fender-to-skirt to seal from weather?

Sits underneath fender, you have to take the fender off of the car to put it on.

edit: here's a pic of one of them when my car was torn apart

Thanks for the pic Cyber10! That helps a LOT! I will try to do it myself but i might have dealer do it since its still under warranty.

I'd take it to a dealer if it's under warranty, it's a pain in the ass to do as you have to remove the front bumper and I believe loosen the front of the rocker moulding in order to get the fender off. Can't remember 100% as it was a few months ago since I did it but pretty sure that's what needs done. A lot of work just to put that thing back in place imo.
