was wondering about running just the fronts with the sub (disconnect the rears).

IYHO, what do the rears do for your sound - basically let you fade to the back? just thinking the coupe cabin is fairly small and no-one ever rides in my back seat ..

Personally I like the rear sound. Just having only a front sound stage doesn't do it for me and the music I like.

Agreeeee. My ear would listen to the void in the back. Plus the back speakers properly tuned can play certain frequencies that the sub's won't, creating a more detailed sound

thanks

what depth speakers do you figure can go in the doors? i see the JL C3-650s are 2.55" mounting depth. i was thinking of a set that are 3.05"

which adapters did you get for the doors - they have 2 sets available - MDF and ABS

The deeper speakers should fit just fine. The adapter almost takes that depth plus there is room in the door.

I used MDF adapters from Stealthbox. Painted them up with Plastidip to keep the water off the MDF.

‘Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but here goes.....
Has anyone ever relocated the rear speakers to be an undermount in the trunk to make it easier to replace? 2015 Camaro SS. Thanks.

You could, but you’d still be forced to remove the rear deck. So it’s kind of pointless, in my opinion.
