Is this a factory option?
Found this one yesterday. The stripes, that tall spoiler, SS in red on the back, Transformer badges on the side. Had a great exhaust sound, but he wasn't too fast! (my V6 could match him!)
From searching around, seems the Transformer editions have several different stripe and wing combos. I thought those were the same? Or is this just "personalizing" or just faking it? |

Stripes are aftermarket.
Spoiler looks like the OEM high-rise spoiler. Red SS emblem = RS option

I dig the Wing! But the roof stripes.. seems silly to color match the ditches, then lay stripes right next to them. eh, to each their own !

Good point, stripes could be OEM

Those are the factory stripes and rear spoiler for a 2012 Transfromers Edition.

Ain't that a beautiful hoodline? That was one of the biggest reasons I bought a Camaro. You can't beat that hoodline unless it a Vette.
That's the biggest gripe I have about the 6th gen. The hoodline looks all rounded and smooth. Ugh! |

It really does make the whole world look better! Unless there is an ugly Dodge butt in your view!

Looks like a 2012 Transformer Edition to me. Stripes and spoiler were part of that package.

that is, indeed, the 2012 Transformer Edition. The third and final Transformers package that was offered. It was available as a V6 or an SS. The stripes (with carbon fiber accents and inlaid alien type) and the GM High Wing Spoiler came as part of the appearance package (as did, I believe, gloss black SS wheels & transformers center caps) with special badging and inlays in the headrests. The Red SS means its a 2SS (1SS was white).
http://www.thecarconnection.com/news...tion-announced the car is likely a real SS (the calipers are usually a good way to tell a real from fake), so if he "wasn't too fast" he probably just wasn't really on it.

I wish people would quit putting this misinformation out.
Red SS badge = SS/RS White SS badge = SS non RS

Hope this isn't a hijack, but my 2010 SS has no color on the rear badge on the trunk lid. It's just chrome. Is that normal?
