Ticking sound coming from Engine and Recycle air motor noise

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2010 Camaro V6/RS. I don't drive it much, b/c I do alot of traveling. I noticed the other day a strange ticking sound coming from the engine when it is started. I took it to the dealer, and they said that was the fuel injector making the noise. Is this true? I haven't heard it before. Also, when I click on the Recycle Air button, you can hear the mechanism opening and closing. I never heard this before also. Is all this normal? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know if I can help or not. I hear a noise coming from mine (C5 V6 Auto) also when I turn the car off. It's done it everytime since I've had it, so I'm thinking it's normal. I have but only 230 miles on mine since Dec. 5th purchase. I don't think there is any cause for concern but if in doubt, take it to another dealer and see what they say.

Yep, the ticking is normal... it's the injectors and/or high pressure mechanical fuel pump...

as for the A/C recycle.. that one I don't now.. i never use the recycle...

Since it's a normal sound, is there anything I can do to stop it from happening? Anything I can change, to make it sound smooth? Thanks!
