Whats Worth More ? Re: wheels

What would you keep if your car was about to be reposessed?

A Tirerack winter package consisting of 18" Aluminum wheels with Blizzak tires, TPMS..

OR

OEM 20" polished wheels with new rear tires and front tires in good shape.

Which wheels/tires should I let my bank take my car away with?

Have NOT found a job in 6 months.

NOT a single friend OR relative has helped me AT ALL.

GOD HELP THIS SINFUL WORLD !!!

Sorry to hear of this happening to ya man. I'd keep the 20" polished wheels as the blizzaks are winter tires of limited tread wear.
Keep that job search up and network yourself with everyone you know and maybe you could beat the odds.

You should keep whichever ones have the most cash value in your area. With the abundance of owners selling OEM wheels, you might be better off keeping the winter set for these reasons:

1) Easier to convert to cash in your area, especially in the months before winter.
2) If things turn around and you're able to get another Camaro, you'd be better off having the winter set (rather than a second OEM set)

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Good luck... hopefully things will turn around soon

Thanks. Thankyou OBAMA.

But mostly BUSH for spending over a TRILLION dollars ruining our ecomony.

I guess letting it go with the Tirerack pkg would be better.

I hope I get the extention benefits? I have heard people getting 2 years in IL. ?

I have only recieved 6 months worth.

If I don't get my extention, I will be selling Hushpower/Flowmaster axelback, a C.A.I. intake, DRL LED's, SS emblems, subwoofers, amps, caps, and wire harness's. I think I have a few more things, just have to remember.

Vultures and Piranha's get ready !

That makes sense. You never know what will happen? Maybe the day after my car is gone I win the Lotto? Faith, Hope is what has kept me from serious depression in the last 6 months. I always knew this day might come. At least I was able to drive around the BEST car I have ever owned, and thats something, as I have owned many awesome cars/trucks.

LOVE ALL, TRUST A FEW, DO WRONG TO NONE.

GOD BLESS ALL

You were down to nothing? And now own a Camaro? Nice!

I just finished my sub box and was going to install the wires today, until I got my letter from IL benefits.

I guess I will wait 2 weeks while they Evaluate my claim for an extention.

Sorry for being a little rude, its a SUNNY day where I am, maybe its SMOKIN TIRE DAY !!!

Assuming you still have all of the stock components why not sell the axle back, CAI and stereo equipment now to continue making payments on the car (unless, of course, the money from those would still be needed for more important bills)?

Tough situation you're in there -- hope things start looking up for you!

IMO I would strip the car now as you never know when the bank will show. Keep the Blizzaks you can probably sell those for more as they probably have a wider market (will fit the G8 as well as Camaro, more people probably need winter wheels/tires than a second set of summers).

Good luck, you will survive ok and get another.

Put the car back as stock as possible and sell what you've added that you can take off. Remember that in most states (disclaimer as I'm not a lawyer and I don't know your state's laws) the difference between what you owe and what they get at auction is going to come back to haunt you in the form of a judgement that you will be responsible. Others have suggest stripping the car which is just plain stupid and tearing up the car is in the same boat.

You don't want the car you owe a bunch of money on to turn out to be worthless. The car is still valuable in the marketplace right now as we've seen in resale prices...so you might not come out of this so bad when they auction the car.

If you've got the stock parts, you could put them back on and then sell the add-ons to help pay the deficit from the auction sale.

Sorry for your job loss and I wish you luck in finding a new one. Cars can be replaced...just make it through the process.
