Display admission is only $20/vehicle at the gate and it gets you and your passengers into the event. Display area parking is limited so be sure to arrive early! So who ever gets there first reserve us a spot......AIRPORT

Here is a letter I got from Peter earlier in the week. I post it in case somebody missed it.


Gentlemen,

Race the Runway 2014 is now 4 days away. If that new NOS kit hasn't arrived yet, it's probably too late.

Here are six important items about the upcoming weekend. Please take a moment to review all of them and to let me know if you have any questions.

1. 1. Friday evening pre-registration BBQ at the airport. If you want to skip the Saturday morning registration line up, meet some of the other drivers, get a feel for the venue, watch some of the high speed test runs and enjoy a BBQ’d burger on us, please come by the airport between 5pm and 9pm on Friday and we’ll get you set up with all of your registration stuff. If you are planning on coming by Friday, please send me a quick email so that we have enough food on hand.

2. 2. The event timing has changed slightly:

a. DRIVER REGISTRATION IS OPEN FROM 7:00-8:00 SATURDAY MORNING. Plenty of hot coffee and breakfast food will be on hand starting at 7:15

b. MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING at 8:15. This meeting will review the staging process, safety protocols and the speed run configuration.

c. FIRST HIGH SPEED RUNS at 9:00

3. 3. There is the usual waiver that you will need to sign in order to drive on the runway. It is attached if you would like to review it ahead if time. It’s a great bedtime read if you’re having trouble sleeping.

4. 4. Volunteers! This event is 100% operated by more than 150 volunteers – nobody gets paid anything for helping to put this event on. Everyone is doing their absolute best but nothing is ever perfect. Please be respectful of the folks that make this whole thing possible and give them a thumbs up when you can.

5. 5. In an absolute worst case where weather makes it completely impossible to run the cars safely, we will push the high speed runs to Sunday. This will only be done as a last resort as it will mess up a lot of people’s travel plans. Watch your email and twitter feeds and perform any "no rain" rituals you might have.

6. 6. If you sent in your car information and pictures, your car is now up on the mobile app and web gallery. The portal will display your time and speed after each run. The gallery is at the link below and it has links to download the iOS and Android apps as well.
