They need the car at SEMA so I don't think they can wait. I talked to them today and they said they had a car lined up.

I don't remember the article, but I remember seeing somewhere that the 3.6 V6 with just 4 lbs of boost hit 450 flywheel horses. I'm sure there will be a few other modifications as well and higher boost. Then the suspension. Not sure if they will beat the GTR completely, but come pretty freakin close doesn't seem unrealistic to me. That's just me though.

Sorry but I have to agree that 12k is not a "hookup of a lifetime".

12k? If they can do this, you think having the only twin turbo, tuned and professionally tweaked out v6 camaro in the world isn't worth 12k? I'd bet there are people out there who would be happy to spend more than 12k to have that work done.

They are talking about using your car as a test mule... test mules get stuff either free or at a very greatly reduced price... They are basically asking you to foot the bill for their R&D to develop product they want to eventually sell... And in that case you should get a check every time they sell a system!

[QUOTE=BigBOSS;857510]How much would you want to bet? You do realize this is the V6 forum right? Why would you not spend half of that ($6k) and get a 2SS and spend the other half ($6k) on a turbo kit?
+1...........If not a turbo ..I would get a supercharger for the 2nd. 6K_________ |

for the right person this is a great deal the twin kit will probably be 6-7000 alone and big breaks are going to be required witch will be another 5000 minim plus the peders full race setup witch i think was about 4000 not to mention all the other required work to accomplish this goal exhaust, headers , full engine rebuild to suport the boost and wheels/tires will be around 6-7000 for this kind of setup sounds like a great deal to me easily 30000 plus the four months of labor
just look at this thred for the v8 this will be way more work on the v6 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51454 |

I think they are held off on the project but are trying to gear back up to do it. They might still be looking for a car.
