Strut bar question
I'm getting a supercharger installed and need to get the car home. It's about 2 hours away. I want to wait and mod my strut bar when I get home. Has anyone driven their vert without the strut bar?

Your car will probably fall apart. Don't do it

I've been told it will crack the windshield if I drive it without the bar.

If you take it easy and not try to max the twisties or stand on it and have no bumpy roads, in other words drive like your grandmother, you should be okay.

Well the roads in NE OH and western PA are that great. Maybe I should figure out something else.

You will be fine. Not all cars come with strut bars. They are only to stiffen the chassis and improve handling.

It will be fine. I've driven plenty of back roads without my bar at well over 600 rwhp, and that includes rough dirt/gravel roads.

I totally disagree....I think you are taking a HUGE risk. Why don't you send me your supercharger (for free) and I'll install it on MY convertible so you don't take any chances!
You'll be fine as others have stated, but I'm jealous. Someday,,,maybe |

Does anyone actually have a ZL1 strut brace on their car with an SS hood? I'm wondering if it will fit? I know the ZL1 hood is a little taller than the SS and I wonder if that extra is needed to fit the ZL1 bar?
