Tire Storage Bags

Hello,

I've got a full set of Z/28 wheels and tires that I use for tracking and I'm taking a trip far enough away that I'm going to drive there on street tires and change at the track to the Trofeo's. I was looking to get some kind of bag for the tires since I'm going to shoe-horn them into my car and want to keep it as clean as possible. I saw (and really liked) the Tire Rack Bags (Link below) but they claim to only work up to a section width of 295 and the Trofeo's are 305. That's not a huge delta so I'm wondering if anyone has tried the bags and met with success or did they not fit? Or do you guys know of another or better solution?

Thank you,

DM

Those look the same as my Michelin tire bags. Which fit my 295s with extra room. I'll bet they will fit.

Tire bags.

A Les Schwab tire store in Washington gave me four Les Schwab plastic tire bags when I had them switch the Trofeo's out. They gave them to me to transport the tires home (used an SUV). Bags covered the whole tire just fine. Ask a local tire shop if they have four bags. That might be an option.

If you actually get all of the tires into the car I'd love to see a photo...

Well, my plan was to put two in my car and two in my Wife's SUV.

But if there is a way to get all four in the Camaro using the back and passenger seat I'd love to know!

Those will work just fine. I currently use them to wrap my trofeos in when they are off the car and I have no issues covering a 305 trofeo.
