Could not do a burn-out in my Automatic

I took my car to an abandoned road strip turn off the traction control and the stability control by holding down the stable track button till the lights came on the dash. I put it in D and told my wife "check this out" and NOTHING. I had a quick take off but no burn out on a straightaway strip. I tried it twice with the same results.

What gives?

I’m not new to burnout, my screen-name is fishtail for crying out loud!

Anyone else have the same results?

Maybe my throttle sensor is defective?

Torque management system.... My 2005 V6 Mustang had the same issue... I couldn't get it to spin even power braking!!! Got a tune and got rid of the torque management system and BAM!! Burnouts no problem! Car was even chirping the 2-3 shift!

So I suspect our autos suffer the same problem... although I was able to get a really nice chirp by putting the car in M1 and hitting the gas while I was rolling... didn't expect that!

So perhaps put the car in M1 and try a little power braking... but remember you'll get the one wheel peel.. the autos have an open diff..

Do NOT use Drive......use Sport mode (M) !!!

What do you mean by burnout ?
Do you want to sit there and just smoke the tread away ?

Every time I make 0-60mph runs w/traction control ON in sport mode, the car ALWAYS burns rubber But only for 4 to 6 FEET.
It has GREAT traction !!!!!........

PS my take off's are ALWAYS from idle NO reving...........

I have the V6 Auto 2LT and I am able to do a burnout. When I am at a standstill like at a stop light I can just have in drive(auto) gun it and I do a burnout. I have done it numerous times. I suggest you try it again.

I followed others post and removed the #5 and #20 fuse for three hours. It works great, and no lag when you push the gas.

That was a V8 issue... This is a V6 thread......

Scrming,
YES...I was thinking the same thing......But he did have it in DRIVE !....I was waiting for others to post their results on a burnout in the sport mode (m).
If nobody has the same take off as I than the WIDER tires might be the answer.

I took off my 20" tires & replaced them with the 19" ones.
The circumference is 5/8" LARGER on the 20" and wider ( 245 VS 275 ). (the softer 20" has tread wear of 220, my 19" has tread wear of 400 )

With the smaller 19" dia.-Makes for faster 0-60 times.
My take off's are always from idle ( NO reving )................

in auto, the car starts in 2nd gear... so that could be a problem.
and as for the video, the RS tires probbbbably make a difference haha.

Are you taking off from idle speed ? or are you reving it before take off ?
