The LLT really LOVES cold air!

We all know cooler air in denser and results in better performance... but for some reason it seems to me the LLT responds to cool air more than any of my previous cars.... My previous 0-60 testing yielded 6.0 seconds, just like the magazines... but that was on warm days, not hot but warm with the inlet temps in the 80s...

Well, this morning I noticed my inlet temps were only 54 degrees!!! SO I thought, what the heck! I did another 0-60 test and...

Little more info at: http://v6john.com/index.php/performance/52-0to60

Nice time! 1/4 mile next? Could it possibly dip into the high 13's? Maybe when the frost is on the pumkin?

Probably not quite 13's... but I'm thinking very low 14's for sure! The best I've managed so far is 14.6.. so I would be thrilled with a 14.1! I may just have to buy that intake this fall!

As for the track... the thing is this run was at 6:00am... by the time the tracks opened today it was heading towards 80 degrees! It's 82 now... That being said we do have one track that is open until the end of November!

So yeah... i'm looking forward to some better times at the track!

I'm holding my opinions in the CAI kits... I think the stock air box really doesn't do that bad of a job... I know the stock air box does an ok job getting fresh air because as soon as the car starts moving the inlet temps do start drop! There is however room for improvement in the intake tube... the big old resonator needs to go! Half tempted to take a hacksaw to it! LOL
