Finished my Caron Fiber Arm Rest

A while back I bought some a center console arm rest off another member with the intent to skin it in carbon fiber. I finally finished it and thought I'd share.

Excuse the quality of the pictures on the inside it was overcast and I took these on my phone.

*****Sorry about that yall. Had internet issues and couldn't get the pictures to upload from my phone. Finally got service and put them on a hosting site.

How slippery is it when you use it vs the original fake rubber surface?

It a good deal smother than the original one. It does creates somewhat of a surface friction between it and your arm so its not incredibly slick though.

Looks good!

But what I want is one similar to the old 4th gen armrests (I miss mine )! Those where super comfortable!! My 5th gen one is hard,.. well as.. plastic wrapped in leather :(! Need to find someone who would be willing to make something similar in shape, just thicker with padding underneath.. And not just take a plastic mold and cover it in rubber or leather and call it a day .

Yeah that looks super, awesome job ya did. Where did ya get the carbon fiber from, I wouldn't mind duplicating that.

Thanks guys. Its not a wrap its actual carbon fiber skinned over a OEM console. I got the carbon fiber from Composite Envisions. I picked up their starter kit and it has plenty enough to do more than just this.
