I removed the rubber cowl seal, cut the plastic piece that holds it on off and installed a 2014 hood vent. Has to lower underhood temps some

I did the same thing with the cowl seal but I left a piece in the middle to help support the back of the hood when closed, and I left a little of the lip so water won't run down into the engine. I didn't mention it as I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do such a thing to a new car!

Thought about adding the hex vents or something similar to help get the heat out from under the hood? I know the weather back there isn't the greatest for something like that but it may help.

I'm gonna look into everything that might help! LOL The vents would look bad ass too, maybe painted the body color. Hmmm....

I don't have any problems modifying anything on this car to get faster LOL! Thanks for all the "cool" ideas!

I keep going back and forth on the vents and just changing the hood to an ACS VIS hood and painting it IOM. lol

Here is an underside pic and one of it painted. I had others but can't find them now. The hood is CF and is close in weight to the factory hood.

The underside pic shows the rain guard installed. It doesn't look that goofy with it out. Or you can do something like this. Its the underside of the top pic.

Alky control meth kit. Don't think my IAT's have gone over 110 on a full 1/4 mile run. But they do get high on the burnout, then I stage with a 2-step and that builds boost and therefor sprays meth at the same time while staging.

I'm cranking my fans up. noticed I had my initial fan settings really low. Not a problem on the street. I'll keep doing little little things one at a time to see what works best.
