TSB's Updated on my ZL1

TSB 18258 - Published Oct 2018
TSB 17457

I would make sure you get this done before your warranty is out. It only took 1.5 hours and I was out the door.

For those reading this, you will have to make an appointment as they will have to order the kit. Just a heads up...

I had this done, while I was there they said they were ordering parts for a TSB on the gauge cluster. Do you have any info on that one? I haven't had problems so if it requires ripping the dash out I may not take it back.

I was told this too, and declined the TSB repair for the moment. I wanted to read up on it before letting them rip out the dash. I have not done my research yet.

I would think if you refuse and you have a problem, then you might have a warranty issue, just a guess.

The head service manager said it was not very invasive. Very simple

They did not mess with the dash, just underneath by a bracket and some mount.

They already had the parts unless they got them real quick somewhere.

This is what they did.

Here is the other TSB

Thanks for the TSB info! Thanks for both, in fact. I wish they'd mail these out, but I guess that's too much to hope for...

Now I have more to do this week!

I know right. I did not find out about them except to go in for my annual oil change, yes that's right annual oil change. I have had the ZL1 for 2 years and one month and it just now turned over 6000 miles.

I bought my 2017 in March used with 422 miles and I had the vin number checked at the local Chevy dealership to make sure this TSB was done and it was. There was another TSB issued and it was done also.

That is weird, since the 17457 did not come out until April 2018 and the other one is October 2018 after you bought it.

Unavailable, I bought it last month March 9th 2019. That’s probably where the confusion came in for you.

I would hope so, page four states that they basically must do it before resale.

18258 can be done in <5 minutes in your garage with some plastic conduit and zip ties. FWIW, here are the 3 wiring TSBs that I know about, the 2 above plus 1 more:
