I got it patched and now have Road Hazard on all 4 tires from Discount Tire. Well worth it.

Same here at same spot at 1500 miles. I just plugged it and has been fine since. Now 5400 miles. However, I do not do any high speed runs.

I'm surprised they patched it. I have has a few in that spot on other cars that various tire shops refused. Ended up doing one myself and it was okay.

Had one in the left rear at 1400 miles. I took it to Good Year and no one else around here would patch a run flat.

Had a Silverado, and before I had 1K on it, went down to a Uhaul place and picked up a sheetrock screw
Right On The Edge- of the sidewall. Since it was my brother I carried down to Uhaul, he had a patch kit, and we followed directions precisely. It wasn't a run-flat, but a rather low profile tire. Really reamed out the hole with the round "file". Slobbered on a lot of glue-grease, and inserted the ribbon plug. As long as I had that truck (same tire) it -NEVER- lost any air afterward. Everyone told us we couldn't have done it, and my son-in-law works for a tire concern, and said the same thing. Go figure, FYI only. |

This is the exact reason I took out a tire warranty when it was offered to me on my new Camaro.
On my Camaro SS that I traded in a little over a month ago, I got 14 nails/screws/bolts in my tires over the last year. Ended up claiming two tires under warranty from Tire Rack. Their service is impeccable. My new Camaro has the tire warranty through the dealer, good for up to 4 new tires. Fingers crossed, 1600 miles and nothing so far! And as for the original picture, I several like that, and they were patched, no problem, and held just fine. You should be good to go now that you've had it patched. And just for future reference, I have used Tire Rack for my tires, they've had the best prices, and then taken them to my fav tire place to have them put on. Still works out cheaper. I used to get the Pirelli PZeros for my SS for about $160 a piece. Haven't priced up the Eagles yet.
