Thumbs up Jpsuperman81's Camaro Project

Well first of all it starts with a 2SS/RS for a base, pics can be found here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40465.

First I had the cosmetics stuff, floor mats, stripes, gills, emblems and such. Trim kit, heritage grille and footwell lighting on order. Also want a custom painted engine cover as soon as I decide where to go.

Next comes performance. Already on the car are ARH longtubes and borla axleback provided by zzcamaro. This friday I am having my hurst shifter installed and hopefully sway bars or sway bars very soon. I just put a deposit down with RPM and I am getting custom cam, ported heads, intake manifold, underdrive pulleys, 102 throttle body, 160 thermo and tune. And of course a vararam intake when its its available. Hopefullly when its all said and done I can get some pics and video or otherwise this thead would be worthless.

1. Cosmetic mods done for now, Interior trim kit, footwell lighting and heritage grille when available. I did order mirrored turn signal bulbs hopefully they will be here in time to have installed when hurst goes in.
2. Hurst Shifter, should be here thursday and installed friday.
3. Performance mods listed above, as soon as Fast Lsx/r Intake Manifold arrives(Again provided by zzcamaro) I am headed to RPM in Garner,NC for the works.

To be continued...

9/24/09 Quick update, short video with my iphone, sorry it not that great but I was rushed for time. Was gonna get some drive bys and stuff but just couldn't today. Can't hear idle but it is louder than stock, should of put phone closer to exhaust, live and learn.

9/25/09 Hurst shifter installed today, all i can say is WOW! This thing is awesome feels like a 75% reduction in shifts, I love it. I will try and post a little pic up later. If anyone is considering this upgrade don't hesitate and do it, it's well worth it.

9/30/09 Ordered new pedals yesterday from here http://www.srpracing.com/pd-camaro-2...ing-pedals.cfm and today received my new FAST intake manifold. loooking at next wednesday to make trip to have engine work done, can't wait. Oh and custom painted engine cover is being done currently also.

10/08/09 Drove up to RPM today in garner,nc. They got cam in and heads back on and intake manifold on, not sure if they got underdrive pulleys and thermo yet, looking finish tomorrow with sway bars and tune. I got pictures today and so did Jason at rpm, unfortunately I'm posting from my iPhone so no way to upload yet but I will when I'm back home. These guys are great to work with and really know their stuff, I think their middle name is horsepower. Pics and video coming soon...

10/09/09 Made it home safely. Car feels awesome and i haven't been able to play with it much yet. Here's some pics of engine 4 stages, start, heads off, new heads back on and finished product. I made two videos as soon as they load on yourtube, one of the car at idle and one of it taking off but not a good takeoff. Still working on my video skills but at least this time wasn't on iphone. Car does have a LMR cold air intake for now, forgot to snap a shot of that.

Car made 478rwhp and 450 Tq on the above listed mods and a custom tune. So far i love it but need more play time. Dyno graph as soon as RPM sends me a link, just hard copy for now. Only thing didn't do was a before dyno but timing just didn't work out. Car came to RPM with ARH longtubes and borla's they did the rest.

Also wanted to give a quick thanks to RPM in garner nc, especially Jason for his great communication and service, David for working on my car and the owner Ryan for the great tuning. These guys know their stuff and are super friendly, competitive pricing on parts and labor and a real class act. They do street cars to drag cars making several thousand HP and really have great customer service. If anyone in NC needs anything done its worth the drive. Only bad thing is their chairs are not comfortable for two days of sitting, lol. My project was a two day one so i just got a hotel and they took me back and forth and also let me borrow a truck for lunch. Really can't say enough good things.

Two Quick vids, will try best to get better ones, still new to video making.

Link to Dyno graph is here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48378

Pics coming soon of new pedals and mirrored bulbs which went in yesterday. Also custom engine cover looks amazing just gotta see if it will go back on my engine.
