copper3000, I'm happy to hear your dealer will be getting you the most up to date hardware. It's odd that you would say this as the steps for the repair say to update the vehicle with the most up to date hardware which at this point is the DB hardware. I wouldn't think they would be able to miss that kind of a step but human errors do happen. Hopefully no one else has to share that experience with you. I hope all of you are to enjoy your vehicles to the fullest!

Just had a PDIM module installed under warranty and according to work order, they installed 20927509. Wondering why the newest part, 20940641 was not installed?

Version is now DA/DX

This is a 2011 model.

That happened to me as well. Went back to the dealership, they apologized and ordered a DB/DD part instead. Try and talk to your dealership. Show them the document ID that has been listed somewhere above in this thread.

The problem is they don't know what the latest part number is unless you tell them...

Today I decided to recontact GM Customer Service. I have an existing Case Number. If I had only made one or two trips to the dealer, it would not be as galling. But I have made 6 and they "worked" on it 4 of those. It now looks like I will be making trip #7, for the same issue.

You could also suggest they contact our technical center to clarify the document for them as well. I'm not currently able to look up part numbers at this time. Sorry.

So, last night I checked my system and it is the CC version. I also went ahead and hooked up the bluetooth music link and I thought it was pretty cool that I was streaming music from my phone to the car. I'm not sure how much I will use this feature as I use XM, but I was thinking of going to the dealer and getting the updated PDIM. Would like some advise if it would be worth haveing the newest equipment, just incase? Thanks.

I feel it wouldn't hurt to update. Who knows what equipment changes u might make in the future that might have issues working with your current PDIM.

Is it possible to pause iPod on iPhone when controled by radio

I hook my iPhone to the USB and use the iPod interface on the radio to select music. Plays fine, except for the occasional static (which I will get the update for).

However, I also use iPhone turn by turn navigation software. It will nicely lower the volume before announcing the turn, but sometimes I would like to stop the music during complicated turns. I discovered it is impossible to pause the music when connected via USB.

The alternative it to use the Bluetooth interface. There I can pause the music on the iPhone and hear only the turn instructions. The drawback is I have to disconnect the USB and the charging source to control the iPod from the phone. The Radio interface takes control whenever the USB is connected and the only way to pause the iPod is to switch to the radio or XM (but then I can't hear the navigation instructions).

Am I missing something or is there no pause control for the iPod over the radio? That's a big miss if that is the case.
