Strut bar

I'm looking into to possibly getting a strut bar. I was thinking GM's strut bar but was persuaded against it. Lol ! Just curious as to what my fellow camaro brothers and sisters have? ( those who have strut bars)

Also is there that much a difference in a GM strut bar vs after market? Thxs in advance.

the strut bar is more of a cosmetic piece if you read pete basica's suspension guide. if you are going to get a strut bar the factory bar is the most unobtrusive and imo the nicest looking and there are many finish options for it, the other bars require too much modification and removal of engine covers etc

and i just found this as well http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=298274 so its about which one looks nicest to you

I have the GM one and love it. Every little bit helps.

Just put a factory one on yesterday. Nice and simple look to it. No modding, few mins to install.

I have the GM brace. I agree it's a nice and clean looking unlike others on the market. Can be customized in many ways too as far as paint/powder coating.

Here is a pic of the factory brace in my SS. I finished it with rattle cans and stainless hardware to mount.

Thxs for the pics. I like it. So do you notice a difference in your driving since installing the bar? I know some say they don't and some say they do?

The brace went on at the same time as the ZL1 front and rear sway bars, so I can't honestly say that the shock tower brace has made a difference or not. I can say the car handles much much much better than stock with all 3 pieces on ....

Added the GM strut tower brace about two months ago... very pleased with the look.
