Can you site a source for this? I'd be interested in checking this out.

Thanks!

Cool!

Thanks,

As long as the Camaro and Volt aren't delayed, its a good move for GM. But that probably means the Camaro won't change much over the next couple years.

Automotive News wrote that GM is postponing nearly all its product development spending until 2011, to cut costs. This move could delay the upcoming Chevrolet Cruze and other vehicles. Cost cuts will also hit engineering, design and research. Projects are being postponed rather than cancelled, with the hopes of saving up to $1.5 billion. The Camaro, Volt, LaCross, and Traverse are all “protected” from the cutbacks.
Sorry this is contradicting to what i heard this morning my apologies////rsparks5

and that's a bad thing, the Camaro not changing, I just keep getting flashbacks of the the Nova 3 door hatches from the late 70's early 80's.

Ouch; this isn't good news. Well, it's a bad market and bad situation, and we'll all just have to hang in there. At least it seems SORP will continue with the models that have already been announced, so that's not a bad thing at all. GM just needs to get these babies on the road and selling and the rest will fall into place

Get your Camaro and enjoy it. It's a good thing the Camaro was ahead of the crash.

This is exactly what Scott alluded to a few months ago. The news is just getting out now, but Scott hinted to the fact that the Camaro program just litterally snuck in right under the water tight door as it was closing.

If it was delayed another month, it would have probably been axed all together.

It goes back to when everyone was fretting whether the car would be built at all considering how long everyone thought it was taking. Scott had to step in and reassure everyone, but he did point out it was very close to not making it.
