Has anyone recently bought heavily discounted GM/Ally Warranty ?

Prices I'm being quoted are ridiculously high. Any assistance with finding from another dealer appreciated. Thanks Dorothy

GM warranty is great. Ally sucks. I had Ally for a Firebird I had bought. There call centers are over seas, every time I would try to put in a claim the wait time was very, very long. Switching from one department to another a dropped call all the time.

GM warranty is like buying a used car. Profit is over100%. Call every GM dealer in a 200 mile radius. Get a price and then call another GM dealer and see if he can beat that price. Just keep calling dealers till you have gotten the cheapest quote. Then call the dealer that is closest to your home and ask if he can match the cheapest quote you got.

Good luck

If someone could private link me any info I would appreciate. My dealers price is prohibitive. Dorothy

If you are looking for an extended warranty, IMO they are a waste of money. I have owned several vehicles over the years, never have opted for an extended warranty & have never needed a repair where one would have paid for itself. For example, I've owned my Corvette for almost 10 years and the only repair it's needed was just recently & it cost a little over $800.00. Given most warranties run $2k plus, I could damn near replace my Camaro with the money I've saved over the years by not purchasing extended warranties... just my .02
