Voltage question
So I just installed my blackvue dash cam and set it to cut off when the voltage drops to 12v. Here's my question I just realized that with the car running the voltage hovers at 12.3 and 12.2 is that normal? It just seems low to me and wonder how long it'll take a dash camera to make it drop to 12.0.

My 4pack gauge cluster has mine between the 12 and the 19 at all times. Do you have a 4pack cluster?

These cars should charge at ~14VDC while running. It will fluctuate but you should only see 12.2 range when the car is not running but key is on.

Okay it was at 12.3 as soon as I started the car. I have the dash camera connected to a power magic pro so I'm hoping it doesn't kill the battery as that would suck. Any idea how long the camera could record before the voltage drops to 12 and the camera shuts down? And thanks for the response I appreciate it.

This ^^^^^ -- if it is reading less when running I would have the alternator & battery checked.

I started it this morning and everything seems to be reading where you guys said it should I guess yesterday was just a bad read? The first pic is immediately after starting and the second is after a few minutes of driving.

You use that menu button until you get to the performance screen and after that you scroll to the screen with coolant temp and battery voltage.

There's nothing wrong with the charging system on these newer Camaros, the charging system was designed to save the battery life, once the system see that the battery is fully charged it cuts back on charging the battery. As long as it is 12.4 or higher you really shouldn't worry, now if it goes below that and stays there then you have a problem.
