I don't really care about the torque, it runs 10.90@125 at the track and that's all I care about.

I have the same cam.
Dont you have heads john?

Another vote for GP Tuning. You really can't go wrong with a Synergy tune either.

Assuming you are using Starkweather since your sig shows you out that way? I don't know why, but it seems like lots of Bay Area and Sac. area Camaro guys gravitate to Starkweather while GP Tuning seems to get lots of Vette and CTS-V owners. Weird.

Anyways.......what's expensive? Starkweather (assuming that is where you go) is about 450 bucks aren't they? GPT is usually 500 for the first tune and 250 for all tunes (re-tunes) on the same car thereafter.

The dyno was done 90+ degrees... dont know if that would effect it much

Yes Starkweather is my tuner.. it was 450 for the first tune with bolt ons and 300 for a retune with the came.. josh from Starkweather ask me for the phaser tables on the cam so it would be easier. Couldnt get a hold of ryan from gpi at the time of the dyno.. first pull made 413, then 430, then 440 and the last pull was 450. Ryan sent me the phaser tables after and we compared them to Starkweathers and they were almost identical lol

So, same money then....GPT would be 500+250=750 for 2 tunes and Starkweather was 750. So, there ya go....GP Tuning is really not expensive. You'd just have to burn more gas to get there! LOL.

GPI is busy but will always work with you/your tuner on the tables.

Sounds like you are happy with it now. Are you finished for now? Enjoy!

Hot Weather really makes the air less dense also and less power...... as in driving in low oxygen altitude high in the mountains.

Sac Raceway is close! A few of us Reno area Camaro guys will be down there some this summer. One of my oldest pals lives in Mo-town……near Scenic and Claus. We grew up in San Jose.

Good Luck at the track!

It pays to play, Matt will be the only Nor Cal tuner I take my car to, great guy with a great skill. He's worth the cost and like Steve said his lower retunes balance out the initial tune.

Why would he get another tuner? The guy that designed the cam sent him the phaser tables and the expectations and they were almost the exact same.

Then dont. really doesnt matter to me. If i was not happy /questioned with a certain tune or numbers then i would have a second opinion. Already experienced this with a well known tuner....

The tune isnt the problem, my car made 389rwhp 407tq just bolt ons, thats more than what most l99s with bolt ons make, so Starkweather is doing something right, thats why retuned it there again... my question was why i lost alot of torque with this cam
