Made less torque after cam swap.. why?

So my car put down 398 hp and 407 tq with full bolt ons and a 3200 stall.. now i just did a cam swap, i got gpi ss3 vvt cam and just retuned it again and made 450hp and 391 tq. How did i lose torque? Ive seen guys averaging 470hp and 430 tq with this cam

398 rwhp is high for a bolt-on L99. Was this done on the same dyno? Does it feel slower?

Different LSA for one, don't know the specs as they are not listed for the ss3 vvt cam, you look to the LSA being a lot lower than the stock enormous LSA which is the torque difference.......And drivability difference, and etc

Mine had full bolt ons. Headers, gutted cats, CAI, Catback, Ported throttle body before SS3 VVT cam install. I ended up with 411 hp. 389-390 torque with a 3800 stall. Mine runs like shit after 2 tunes. They can't seem to get the vvt settings right?? Mine felt stronger before cam install.

I made 367 rwhp with bolt-ons.

I made like 455-460 rhwp on a load dyno, I'm probably higher than that now.

I don't really care about the torque, it runs 10.90@125 at the track and that's all I care about.

I have the same cam.

+1. Head to GP Tuning in the Bay Area. I'm making 450 rwhp on the ss2 vvt and Matt at GP Tuning tuned mine.

Might want a looser stall with the ss3 as well

The only thing that matters is if the tune is dialed in. Dyno numbers are just that, numbers. They're really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. What really matters is what that car puts down in a 1/4 mile. Even with the said, 1/4 mile numbers don't mean shit either. As long as it drives good, is tuned good and you are happy with the results, that's all that really matters.

Every dyno will read differently. Especially on an auto car at different power levels the converter will flash differently.

I heard gp tuning and synergy are really good, but really expensive
